During the completion of this task, I managed to familiarise myself with the software 'Adobe After Effects CS3'. As this was my first time using the software, I was feeling very confused when trying to use the software and make a title screen from scratch. However, I had used various Youtube videos and websites which are specifically dedicated to helping beginners on working with the software. One website I found particularly helpful was https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/after-effects.html (click on this link to be redirected to the website). From using sources online, I learnt how to add a new composition, how to add text and change the colour of the text, as well as how to add an animation to anything displayed on screen. Finally, I learnt how to render my product, as this was essential for the animation to be running smoothly without any buffering occurring. This will help me with my planning for the production of a coming of age short film, as I can now plan how my titles will appear on screen. For example, I can use this to create the conventional smoke effect on the title screen of a coming of age film.
