TASK 1 //
TEST/RAW FOOTAGE
The clip on the right shows Sophie, the protagonist, taking the education books from her bag out and replacing them with items such as make up and her bus pass. This shot needed to be edited in order to fit into the sequence, where i trimmed the clip from the beginning and at the end.
This clip shows Sophie going down the stairs in her house. This clip was a test shot, which I had taken in order to see whether the shot would look good on the camera. Once I had heard that the tripod was heard when tilted downwards, I decided to discard the clip and rerecord another version which I used for my final product.
This clip shows Sophie leaving her house, where she then walks to the violin recital. This shot was a test shot to allow me to make any adjustments before filming the final version of the shot. In the end, I adjusted how the shot progressed, where Sophie just puts her two feet out the door. It then cuts to the next clip, as the audience would understand what would happen next - her walking out of her house and closing the door.
The clip on the right shows Sophie walking into her violin rehearsal late. This clip is almost 30 seconds long, and was filmed as a long take on purpose. This allowed me to insert clips within the middle of this duration, where it would cut back to this clip. It allowed various camera angles to be used within the production.
The last test shot I had taken was of Sophie playing the violin in her recital. This shot was taken to allow me to become familiar with zooming on the camera. In the shot, it is visible that I zoom out, as I had mistakenly twisted the lens of the camera the wrong way. Therefore, I recorded this shot again, in a more professional and smooth manner.
