TASK 16 //
PHOTOGRAPHS/FOOTAGE OF LOCATION
Finally, my short film will be filmed in a hall. The hall that I am filming at is within school, however it will be presented at a hall which Sophie will be playing the violin. The hall will be simplistic, however there will be chairs laid out to represent that the recital will be held on the same day. The hall will also have various instruments in it, which can show what the hall is being used for.
The locations that I will be using in order to complete the filming of my short film are very conventional within the coming of age genre. The film will partly be filmed in a house, as well as a school. The house will be filmed in when showing the portion of the film where she is getting ready to leave for her violin recital. This location is being used, as it is able to build up the personality and appearance of the protagonist.
The next location that my short film will be filmed at is outside the school, which my protagonist attends. The school will be incorporated into my short film within the middle of the production. At the school, the protagonist, Sophie, will be seen experiencing a panic attack. To replicate the panic attack, I will be fading the screen into black.
The images below are also locations which were used within the coming of age short film. These locations are conventional to be implemented within a production. These locations are: council estates, alleyways and subways. I believed it would be useful for my to also add them to my production, as it would allow the audience to relate to the film, as they would also be found to spend their spare time in these locations.
